About Us

CCTV Kits is an online retailer of security products with local warehouse and showroom facilities in Bidford on Avon. Our staff deal with customers by email, telephone and live chat as well as face to face to provide pre sales advice and after sales support.

We aim to offer the same high standard of service to all customers. Our company ethos is to create a healthy & positive working environment which enables staff to maintain and improve the level of support we offer to customers.

The Purpose of This Job

To provide customers with friendly, and technically accurate advice with the aim to convert enquiries into sales and to support customers with basic (to begin with) technical knowledge. It is the responsibility of the Sales Team to ensure they keep up to date with new products and services (along with the website) whilst maintaing a superb customer service experience.

The Main Accountabilities

  • Establish a friendly and professional rapport with customers, creating a positive impression of yourself and the organisation.
  • Deliver accuracy, integrity and honesty at all times.
  • Ensure that every customer enquiry is logged through quotation system.
  • Identify customer needs and interests and present products that meet those needs.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and departments, whilst maintaining a positive outlook.
  • Assist with updating websites (product catalogue)
  • Be Proactive
  • Process card payment transactions compliantly.
  • Follow internal processes and GDPR guidelines when handling customer information
  • Engage with new and prospective customers through follow-up telephone calls.
  • Meet the training and development standards required for the job.

Please note such duties are not exhaustive but an illustrative list of the level and type of duties required for the Trainee Sales Advisor. On occasion there may be requirements to provide cover for other roles within the company (support & training will be provided).

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Experience of working in a customer facing environment (Ideally)
  • The ability to make a difference by delivering high levels of customer experience with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to work as part of a team, support colleagues and promote excellent team spirit
  • Good literacy, numeracy, verbal communication skills and IT literacy.
  • Technically minded with the ability to learn about products in detail to get to grips with our security technology products.
  • A positive individual with a results driven approach and attitude.
  • The ability to demonstrate trust, openness and respect.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to listen and express him/herself clearly
  • Welcomes change, flexible and can adapt and deal with various demands
  • Honest, acts with integrity and takes responsibility

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per year starting salary depending upon experience.
